Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 with RTX 4070 drops below $1,000 as "Open-Box" units experience deep discounts (2025)

When it comes to 16-inch gaming laptops, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 is among the first options that comes to mind. This is for good reason, as ROG Zephyrus G16 laptops pack sleek designs and good displays and are generally well-reviewed. The latest ROG Zephyrus G16 2025 is no exception. We rated the laptop a “very good” 90% in our review, making it an exceptional choice for gamers who want a gaming notebook that they can use daily.

However, when the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 2025 does become available, it will cost a pretty penny. Asus demands a staggering $4,600 for the highest-end RTX 5090 variant with the Core Ultra 9 285H CPU and a 240 Hz OLED display. For the price, the hardware of the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 on sale shines with an RTX 4070 laptop GPU that can play modern AAA titles at high frame rates. The GPU is paired with a Core i7-13620H CPU, 16 GB of expandable RAM, 512 GB of upgradable storage, and a 16-inch display.

The FHD+ IPS panel refreshes at a fast 165 Hz, supports Nvidia G-Sync, covers 100% sRGB, and can manage 300 nits of brightness. There is also a MUX switch for switching the graphics adapter between the iGPU and the RTX 4070.

Other important hardware details include a large 90 Wh battery, an RGB keyboard, Wi-Fi 6E, and a healthy port selection that includes all the usual connectors.
